Who We Are Looking For

IAP2 Canada is seeking a Manager, Learning & Professional Development to lead our training, certification, and professional development initiatives. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with experience in adult education, online learning, and program development who is passionate about advancing public participation and professional training.

The ideal candidate will have experience in course design, trainer management, and curriculum innovation, with a strong understanding of virtual learning platforms and adult education methodologies.

Location: Remote (Canada)


Key Responsibilities

Training Program Leadership
  • Oversee and expand IAP2 Canada’s training portfolio, including Foundations courses, Indigenous Awareness Learning, and the Certification Program.
  • Manage relationships with trainers, facilitators, and program partners.
  • Ensure high standards of course delivery, instructor training, and program evaluation.
Online & Hybrid Learning Development
  • Enhance digital learning opportunities, integrating interactive and self-paced courses.
  • Collaborate with experts to update and innovate curriculum content.
  • Lead the adoption of learning management systems (LMS) to improve accessibility.
Community & Industry Engagement
  • Partner with industry leaders, academic institutions, and professional networks to enhance learning opportunities.
  • Monitor emerging trends in public participation training to keep IAP2 Canada at the forefront of professional development.
  • Develop mentorship and networking opportunities for learners.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years in training program management, learning design, or adult education.
  • Experience in course development, virtual learning platforms, and trainer management.
  • Strong project management and curriculum development skills.
  • Understanding of public participation, governance, or nonprofit professional training.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience,locationand qualifications for therole. 
  • 2025 annual salary range is $70,000 - $90,000 CAD
  • Comprehensive Health & Benefit plan.
